Throwaway because the last thing I want is my friends seeing this. But on the bright side, this did happen today!
So a little backstory. Back in early 2007, my friends and I would film silly videos and post them online. After a while, we decided that instead of uploading the same video on each of our individual channels, we would share one channel to feature them all. They ranged from cartoon voice overs to movie reenactments to even just us fooling around.
Well one day, we filmed this one video and it exploded. Define exploded? Well, every one of our other videos to this day remains at less than 500 views. This one video got 50,000+ on our channel. It was so big in fact that Break (A big YouTube name at the time that featured viral video) came forward to us and offered to host our video on their channel as well. The video now has 140,000+ views on their channel (Fun fact, when we gave break the master footage, they went back and remastered it. And for 2008, they did a pretty good job since the video on our channel paled in quality to Break's). I should also add this video wasn't like any of our other videos and for the most part was hilarity at my expense. Just to give you a hint, a smiley face sensor had to be used on me.
Fast forward 6 years. I have to start this off on a sad note since I am no longer in contact with the two other guys I made the YouTube channel with. We each went our separate ways with me going to another State all-together. We tried staying in contact but it just was never the same since we had to work around our work schedules. But I better stop before tears start being shed.
I have been happily married with the love of my life for 8 months strong this coming April. I won't bore you with the details. Well today as I was getting ready for a day of GTA, my wife called me over to the computer. There, smack dab on the screen was the video I had made with my friends over 6 years ago. I do not know how in the world she found it, but she somehow did and chances are the rest of our family and friends will be seeing it soon.
Lovely.
TL;DR: Made a viral YouTube video with some friends 6 years ago at my expense, my wife found it today, now I am reliving the embarrassment that should have been put to rest.
And if you guys want to find the video, you will have to look yourself. I will give you some hints.
The video is 6 years old on my channel, 5 years old on Break.
The video has 50,000+ views on my channel, 140,000+ views on Break.
A smiley face sensor is used for the majority of the video.
My reddit username "idiotzone" will help you find it.
If anyone is somehow able to find the video and PM me it, I will admit defeat and put it in the main post. You can still comment it below too but a PM will be a lot easier for me to receive.
