Shampoos/ Conditioners or general advice for long, fine hair?

Hi reddit. I've been digging around in this subreddit for several days now trying to figure out which products will work best for my long, semi-damaged fine hair. I have taken a look at the Products Recommendations page, and the vast majority of products I have found under "fine hair" have been recommended by people who have naturally dry, course hair which I'm not sure is my hair-type.

Background info: I am currently using "Aussie Moist Shampoo" in conjunction with "Aussie Volume Conditioner" every other day. When I apply my conditioner I let it soak into my hair for 2-3 minutes, then attempt to comb out knots with a large tooth comb. I let my hair air dry, rarely blow dry or style it. I exercise 3-4 times per week and sweat BUCKETS, especially from my scalp. I also work outdoors 5 days per week and I currently live in southern California.

Current condition: My hair feels dried out/ damaged with moderate breakage. I believe this may be due to the products I am using combined with the environment.

Other products used: Before trying Aussie products I used TRESemme Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry or Damaged Hair for several years and initially worked well for moisturizing/ de-tangling my hair but eventually left my hair looking flat/ greasy. From what I have read online so far, sulfates/ silicons (might) have something to do with this?

Obviously, I have no idea what I'm doing, my knowledge on hair care is sparse to none and I would like to do my homework before investing in any new hair products/ tools.
