I've got 4c hair and I love my hair texture no doubt about that. I love my hair the way I love my skin, nose, and eyes; my features are part of who I am and I couldn't be prouder. However, it's styling my hair that has been problematic.
Recently I took my hair out of my braids for the summer initially planning on doing variations of two-strand twists, fros, and tuck roll and pins. Except for the fact that I realized, even after months of protective styling my hair is still too short. I feel like I can't do anything to my hair except twist outs and fros because anything more just seems to be too much stress and causes breakage. Out of frustration, I just put my hair in twists to forget about it.
My two-strand twists are too short and I feel so homely because they don't suit my face. I know I don't have a face many people would consider pretty so my hair looking like unattractive make me feel even worse. Even when I do fros and twistouts, I don't even have any accessories to style them with--I simply don't have the cash. I'm trying to save up for school supplies for my next semester and that means I can't even go out and go get my hair braided.
I guess I'm just trying to vent in this post. Advice would be much appreciated.
