TIFU by going to a swimming pool

So this happened during summer a few years back. I was visiting my mother in my hometown (where I now live back in), and I was pretty bored. My 2nd oldest sister worked at a swimming pool located in a park in our town, and my little brother and sister went there a lot (I've also went a few times since I like to swim). So being the bored person I was, I decided to go with my brother and sister to the pool.

As I exited out of the locker rooms in my swim trunks, I started walking to the pool. There's a sidewalk that leads to the pool area, and I didn't feel like taking that path. The deep part of the pool was just to my right, and I decided to walk across the grass. That's when the lifeguard who was walking back to his stand in front of the deep pool yelled from across to take the sidewalk. Some people in the pool looked over at me, and I was a bit embarrassed until I saw one of them whisper something to another while looking at me.

The fuck-up So guess what I did? Being the hothead that I am, I raised my arm up and stuck the middle finger at that person. At the same time, the lifeguard looked in my direction to see if I did what he said and he thought I was flipping him off. He then orders me to go sit out on the bench outside the locker rooms. I couldn't believe my dumbass self decided to not just do exactly what he told me to.

My other sister had the day off, so I'm not sure if she knows about this. When my mother came to pick us up, the lifeguard tells her my fuck-up, and no matter how hard I tried to convince them why I did it, they wouldn't buy any of it. My mother tel
