http://m.imgur.com/5Y88Lpz So my sister took in a pregnant dog named Lola about a week ago. she didnt technically volunter to take in Lola but she has a good friend who called her crying and asked her to give Lola a home for a week or so until an owner is found. She was rescued after being physically abused (and apparently almost killed by the owner, i dont know much detail) and became pregant after being only 9 months old. Unfortunately she knows she cant take in the dog because she doesnt have the time or money. She already has a pitbull mix and cat.
On friday, they found the dog had actually already given birth and the fetuses were rotting inside her. She has gone to the vet multiple times and they gave her antibiotics on friday until they perform surgery on her tuesday. she doesnt understand why they cant perform surgery on her sooner and she is scared she might not make it. My sister has been crying all weekend. My brother in law work almost 70 weeks and my sister works in a lab but they still dont make too much money. She knows the dedication that is needed to take in a dog since she has trained her sweet pitbull mix Stella. I feel terrible and cant do much to help. I am 1600 miles away and as a recent college grad im still scraping pennies together.
