I always love having harmless fun on April first, much to the dismay of everyone around me. So when I got into work today I immediately sent my boss an email that said the following:
Hi Director's Name, Just had a student call in who sounded rather upset. He says he had an issue the other day that wasn't resolved properly and he wants to speak to you. I'm not sure what his ticket was about, he wouldn't say and I wasn't able to find one in the system. He's requesting a call back at work as soon as you're able. Student: Lyons, Harry ID: My ID Number (I knew he wouldn't check it) Callback Number: (718)367-1010 Thanks, ~PM_ME_DUCKS
The callback number was for the Bronx Zoo. My boss came to me later and told me,
"I called that student back but he wasn't there. Did you know that number was for the Bronx Zoo?". At that point I could barely contain my laughter.
"You called the Bronx Zoo and asked to speak with Harry Lyons?" I replied. I still have my job, he thought it was very funny. Never seen him turn so red. I wish I could have heard that phone call.
