A few days ago I was offered a promotion in my current job and at the same time I was offered a comparable job elsewhere. Management was trying to get me to make the decision to stay with the company as they don't want to lose me (what can I say, I'm amazing). They kept going back and forth with HR trying to figure out how to keep me. In the end none of that mattered as I decided I just wanted to stay with the company. But it being April Fool's I decided to prank my boss. I went up to HR and got them to go along with it. They called my boss to officially let him know I resigned. My boss was in full panic mode so I went and told him "April Fool's" before he had a stroke or something. He ended up being so happy I'm staying that he wasn't even mad.
